Nokomis has one of the nicest Recreation Centers in the area, complete with a skating rink for the Nokomis Skating Club and many of Nokomis' hockey teams. The rink also boasts two sheets of ice for the Nokomis Curling Club.
Nokomis also hosts several sports teams for all ages, and has had many championship winning teams in the past. The senior hockey team is known as the Nokomis Chiefs. Nokomis has also produced some NHL talent, such as Elmer Lach and Doug Horbul.

Nokomis has a 9 hole sand green golf course, including a club house.
